This is a preowned early 19th Century sighted flintlock smoothbore Fowler with a barrel marking of G.B. The bore is .550 and has some pitting. The overall length is 63 1/4" with a 47 1/2" octagon to round smoothbore barrel. The trigger pull is 13 1/2" with a weight of 7.2 lbs. The stock is maple with brass hardware. The barrel has areas of moderate pitting on the exterior and the wood has some areas that indicate the Fowler was exposed to a fire at some point in time. Overall the condition if fair to good considering the age. Additional photos are available upon request.
