MUZZLELOADING GUNSMITHING CLASS #2

Once again, we will be offering another gunsmithing seminar for the month of May. Ian & Jim will be the instructors. The focus of this seminar will be flintlock longrifle design and project planning. This class will attempt to touch on some of the key aspects of design as it pertains to longrifles. We will also discuss design and layout mistakes often made by beginners and explain how to avoid them. Students are encouraged to bring any items of interest or projects they have underway. There will be plenty of time to discuss any aspect of longrifle building. Check out the wonderful article on Ian Pratt in the May/June issue of Muzzleloader Magazine. This is a FREE seminar.

If you haven’t been to Friendship recently, come and see the exciting new world of muzzleloading. A world class range, new education building, pull through, full service RV campground, a rejuvenated primitive came w/ twin blockhouse, museum and traveling displays at most major shoots. A full range of matches will keep you busy shooting all week. We have two booths full of merchandise, but we can’t bring it all. 2008 EASTERN PRIMITIVE RENDEZVOUS

October 3 thru 11, 2008

Snode’s Farm, 6052 Arrow Road, Minerva, OH

Once again, a national rendezvous right in our own backyard.  Minerva is just about an hour drive from the Log Cabin. While we will be set up at the rendezvous, many of you might want to take an afternoon and visit the store. The Log Cabin Shop is open Monday thru Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit our museum with over 140 antique muzzleloading firearms, over 1000 Indian artifacts and cases full of interesting stuff.

ODNR HUNTER Education Course

The Log Cabin Shop will host an Ohio Hunter Education Course for all first-time hunters interested in obtaining an Ohio hunting license this fall. We will be holding these classes once a month. No age limit (must be able to read and comprehend literature provided). Those under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Classes run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. You must attend both days for certification. $4 per student. Class size is limited to 80 per class, pre-registration required.
